Our Biotechnology Group brings together
a number of legal disciplines in the
representation and counseling of biotechnology,
medical, pharmaceutical, and related companies.
With attorneys from various departments advising
biotechnology clients, we are able to apply our
collective expertise to the wide variety of
issues that face these companies.
We have represented publicly-held as
well as start-up biotechnology companies on
diverse business problems, including venture
capital financing, initial and subsequent public
offerings, creative financing alternatives,
joint ventures and strategic partnerships,
environmental matters, public financial support,
real estate financing and acquisitions, and
protection of patents, copyrights, and other
intellectual property rights.
We are general counsel to a number of
public and private biotechnology companies,
represent several biopharmaceutical companies in
corporate, litigation, and employment matters,
and are experienced in the complex environmental
issues associated with the industry. Our group's
involvement in the public and private sectors of
the biotechnology community provides us with a
solid understanding of the industry. Familiarity
with current legal and business issues keeps us
and our clients abreast of new legislative and
industry developments in the rapidly evolving
