Compliance Counseling
Our Environmental Department provides
compliance counseling to clients in areas
including air and water pollution control;
Superfund liability and contaminated site
cleanup; hazardous, solid, and medical waste
management; new chemical manufacture; chemical
regulation and reporting; hazardous materials
transport; hazard communication and
right-to-know requirements; wetlands protection
and waterways and tidelands licensing;
environmental impact review; waste facility
siting; pesticides; genetic engineering;
environmental insurance; and workplace health
and safety. Our compliance counseling practice
includes working with clients and consultants to
design and implement environmental assessments
and audits of their facilities and operations
throughout the United States and in other
countries. Our attorneys also have considerable
experience in working with clients to develop
and implement environmental compliance programs,
including follow-up compliance activities after
