Our securities and business litigation
practice differs from most firms' work
in these areas. While our litigators are
skilled in handling significant securities
fraud and all types of transaction-related
litigation, the crossover availability
of the our Corporate Department's unique
strength in fields such as venture capital/private
equity, high technology, and REITs allows
for an unique insight into the businesses
of our litigation clients. In particular,
our work often consists of real-time involvement
in corporate transactions in order to
avoid or aggressively resolve deal-threatening
problems. Our litigators also have participated
in many of the major hostile takeover
battles and proxy fights in Georgia, including
successful defenses against takeover bids
faced by some of the region's most prominent
corporations.
